Post-Grad Dabbling
Dalmations

Since post-grad, I’ve loved painting in more stark colors with fun backgrounds, striking lines, and fun color combinations. This piece has been a personal favorite, with texture making up the rather stoic dogs. It’s been hanging in my living room and feels like an especially fun piece for a home.
South African Market
Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 24” x 24”
Price: $350
This vibrant painting captures a joyful moment from a sunny spring day at a bustling market in South Africa, where I spent time with my mom. The canvas overflows with color and texture—baskets of ripe oranges, peaches, pomegranates, and heirloom tomatoes nestle beside earthy greens and root vegetables. The warm light dances across the produce, highlighting the rich reds, golden yellows, and deep greens, bringing the scene to life. The rustic wooden crates and woven baskets add a charming, grounded feel, evoking the warmth of community and the simple pleasure of discovering fresh, local foods together. This piece is a memory made visible—a celebration of color, connection, and the beauty of everyday life.

This painting captures the iconic essence of Barton Springs, a beloved natural gem nestled in the heart of my new hometown, Austin, Texas. Sunlight glistens on the cool, clear water as it winds past the limestone banks, surrounded by lush greenery that sways gently in the spring breeze. Swimmers dot the scene—some basking in the sun, others sitting next to the refreshing spring-fed pool. The relaxed energy and vibrant colors echo the spirit of Austin itself: laid-back, alive, and connected to nature. This piece is more than a landscape—it’s a celebration of my growing roots in this city and a tribute to a place that already feels like home.
The Birthday Party
Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 24” x 24”
Price: Not for Sale
This painting is a tribute to a tender memory, one in which I did not personally experience—my servant-hearted grandfather lovingly tends to a table full of children at my aunt’s second birthday party. Set in a sunlit backyard, the scene radiates warmth and joy, with little ones in colorful clothes gathered around a table covered in melting ice cream cones and birthday treats. At the center, my grandfather leans in with gentle care, serving with quiet dedication, as he so often does, his actions full of affection and humility. The soft shadows and playful light evoke a timeless sense of innocence and family love. Through brushstrokes and color, this piece captures more than a moment—it honors the quiet strength of a man who gives of himself with joy, and the simple, sacred beauty of childhood celebration.
Chris
Gouache on Paper
Size: 18”x24”
Price: Not For Sale
This painting is a tribute to Chapman’s father, captured in a quiet, powerful moment during a hike in the Colorado wilderness. Based on a film photo Chapman took, I recreated the scene in gouache, letting the black and white tones echo both the stillness of the mountains and the weight of memory. Perched on a massive rock, surrounded by towering pines, he sits grounded and at peace—staff in hand, smile on his face, enveloped in the wild beauty he loved. The trees rise like sentinels behind him, silent witnesses to a life lived with presence and purpose. In honoring this moment, the painting becomes more than an image; it’s a sacred pause, a way of holding space for grief, remembrance, and the enduring bond between father and son.

Procreate
I’ve gotten to work on a really fun project for a friend of children’s book illustrations! Although this is an ongoing project, I have really enjoyed the opportunity to get to capture the life of Missy and Paul, brother and sister, through their many adventures.
Dog Commissions
Gouache on Paper
Size: Various
These gouache portraits were created as heartfelt commissions for dog owners wanting to honor their beloved companions. Each painting captures not just the likeness, but the unique personality of every pup—from the gentle eyes of a loyal senior to the playful energy of a tail-wagging adventurer. Using gouache, I leaned into rich textures and expressive brushwork to bring out the character and warmth each dog brings to their family. These pieces are more than pet portraits—they’re keepsakes of connection, crafted with care and love to celebrate the joy that dogs bring into our lives.
